1. Introduction

A desktop computer is a personal computer designed for regular use at a single location  or near a desk or table due to its size and power requirements. The most common configurations have a case that houses a power supply, a motherboard, a disk storage for the memory, a keyboard, a mouse, a computer monitor and someones have a printer. 

2. History

Actually computers are widely used in many area of business, industry, science and education. Computers have been developed and improved according to the needs of man to perform work and calculations faster and more precise. One of the first mechanical tools of calculation was the abacus in the Middle East, which consists of a frame crossed wires and each slide a series of rings. Then the structures of Napier appeared, which were used to multiply. In 1642, Blaise Pascal, developed a calculator of rotating geared wheels, (history of the Desk Calculator), could only add and subtract, was called the "Pascal Calculator". In 1671 Gottfried Leibnitz, built the calculator successor Pascal which could make the four arithmetic operations, Charles Babbage, mathematician and English engineer, the father of the current computer, is considered since in 1822, built the machine of differences, based on the principle of a rotating wheel that was operated by means of a simple crank. Then this machine was replaced by another that could be programmed to assess a wide range of different functions which became known as "Machine analysis of Charles Babbage", years later, appears Herman Hollerith, who, in 1880, invented the boring machine cards, inspired by the Jacquard Loom, and the purpose of Hollerith machine was to collect and classify information. This machine was conducted the first census keeping information on a machine longer than before, were processed manually. Hollerith was the initiator of the large company IBM. In 1884, Dor Eugene Felt, built the first practical machine including keys and printer, called "Comptometer or calculator with printer" Konrad Zuse, built its electromechanical calculator Z1, which already uses a binary system and a program shown on tape puncher, was the first mechanical machine and is considered the first computer built, since he was driving the concept of program and included arithmetic unit and memory. Howard Aiken along with IBM, built in 1937, the computer MARK 1, where information is processed by means of cards boring, with this machine engineering and Physics problems could be resolved, as well as arithmetic and logical problems. Then appear the MARK II, MARK III and MARK IV. The automation of the processes is reached with this calculators. 4. Personal Opinion

From my point of view, I would buy  Medion Akoya P5109 as it has enough memory in the hard drive and also in the RAM memory and the price is not to expensive.
